--><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Let\u2019s talk about It\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Positivity isn\u2019t the problem \u2013 Pressure is<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Positive thinking, when it\u2019s self-directed and genuine can be helpful.\u00a0 The problem arises when positivity is being used to ignore or avoid real emotional experiences.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">This is sometimes called \u201ctoxic positivity.\u201d\u00a0 The idea that we should maintain a positive mindset all the time, no matter what we\u2019re feeling.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">When your positivity becomes an obligation, not a choice it can:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8211; Create shame around negative emotions<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:list-item --><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8211; Send the message that emotions like sadness, anger, or fear are failures<\/p>\n<p><!--
